چکیده

The Advanced Photon Source uses two distinct control programs for orbit control and stability—a full-featured workstation-based program for orbit control (sddscontrollaw) and an EPICS-based system, the RealTime Fast Feedback System (RTFS), to reduce orbit motion. The sddscontrollaw program has been ported to EPICS and moved from the UNIX environment to an EPICS IOC attached to the RTFS. This EPICS-based program uses the RTFS’s reflective memory to gather beam position information and write corrector power supplies, thus avoiding variable network latencies. This allows the orbit control to run at a correction rate 50 times that of the workstation implementation, which virtually eliminates orbit motion caused by insertion device gap changes. Issues raised by the integration of orbit control into the real-time feedback system and performance improvements are discussed.

Real-Time Output Feedback Neurolinearization

An adaptive input-output linearization method for general nonlinear systems is developed without using states of the system. Another key feature of this structure is the fact that, it does not need model of the system. In this scheme, neurolinearizer has few weights, so it is practical in adaptive situations.  Online training of neuroline...

Determination of the best-fitting reference orbit for a LEO satellite using the Lagrange coefficients

Linearization of the nonlinear equations and iterative solution is the most well-known scheme in many engineering problems. For geodetic applications of the LEO satellites, e.g. the Earth’s gravity field recovery, one needs to provide an initial guess of the satellite location or the so-called reference orbit. Numerical integration can be utilized for generating the reference orbit if a satelli...

Stability analysis and feedback control of T-S fuzzy hyperbolic delay model for a class of nonlinear systems with time-varying delay

In this paper, a new T-S fuzzy hyperbolic delay model for a class of nonlinear systems with time-varying delay, is presented to address the problems of stability analysis and feedback control. Fuzzy controller is designed based on the parallel distributed compensation (PDC), and with a new Lyapunov function, delay dependent asymptotic stability conditions of the closed-loop system are derived v...

Stabilization of chaotic systems via fuzzy time-delayed controller approac

In this paper, we investigate the stabilization of unstable periodic orbits of continuous time chaotic systems usingfuzzy time-delayed controllers. For this aim, we present a control method that can achieve stabilization of an unstableperiodic orbit (UPO) without any knowledge of the system model. Our proposal is attained progressively. First, wecombine the input-to-state linearizing controller...

Modeling Transverse Orbit Feedback Control

There are two objectives to this report. The first is to present a model, or mathematical representation, of transverse orbit feedback control in general. The second objective is to utilize this model as an analysis tool for the APS real-time feedback system (RTFS). A most important example is that the model quantitatively predicts the effect of adding more correctors to the RTFS. This and othe...
